National Safeguarding Conference is set to go!
The 2024 National Safeguarding Conference taking place in Glasgow on Saturday 16th November 2024 will be attended by over 260 delegates from parishes, religious congregations and lay organisations across Scotland. Clergy, religious, lay volunteer and employees with Safeguarding responsibilities will spend the day discussing 'Preventing Abuse in Faith Organisations'. While over 60 delegates will participate online, approx. 200 will gather in person for the Conference at the University of Strathclyde's Technology & Innovation Centre.
SCSSA Director Paul Donaldson said:
We are delighted that so many people have shown the interest to give up their time to attend our annual conference. It shows their commitment as well as their appetite for learning more about Safeguarding.
SCSSA Head of Safeguarding Training Helena Rameckers said:
We are looking forward to welcoming over 200 people in person and over 60 people who will join us online for the Conference. We hope that they will be inspired by the keynote presentation from Stuart Allardyce and encouraged by 4 TASTERS sessions which will offer practical information and advice on strategies for preventing abuse.
