Survey on requirements for PSC training

10 Dec, 2024 | Safeguarding Training | Return|

In its ongoing work to develop and improve PSC training, the SCSSA's Safeguarding Training Advisory Group (STAG) is clear that a single 90 minute training session cannot cover all aspects of the PSC role sufficiently. Instead they wish to develop a recruitment pathway, with a formal training session which will enable new PSCs to undertake their main responsibilities immediately, and a CPD pathway for further development to be completed over a period of time.

In order to determine which aspects of the role existing PSCs think should be covered in the initial training session, the SCCSA is keen to invite the views of all existing PSCs to complete a short survey before the end of December 2024.  Responses submitted by PSCs will be very helpful for planning and developing this substantial new training package ad we thank everyone in anticipation of your responses.  Please share this message widely with PSCs.
